The RAD Construction team is comprised of highly experienced construction and technical experts. OurProject Managers, Construction Managers, General management team and supporting personnel have deepexperience in construction project execution coupled with expertise in job order contracting.
Project Manager, Christopher Smith, is a seasoned construction professional with over 20 years in managingconstruction projects of a myriad size, complexity, and scope. Christopher has overseen projects ranging inmagnitude from a few thousand dollars to contracts of 13.65 million. Christopher is a hands-on professionalwho prefers to be involved in each and every step of the project, working with all areas of the organization toensure that the client remains a satisfied customer. Christopher earned his Bachelor’s Degree in ConstructionManagement at Northern Arizona University in 2002. Christopher has managed several environmentallysensitive federal construction projects.
Michael Smith has an extensive background in a multitude of construction projects completed throughout theworld, over his 40-year construction career. Michael has been involved in the construction of dams, canals,and street widening projects as well as performing as project and quality control engineer for large scaleprojects such as the Palo Verde Nuclear Generation Station. Michael’s completed commercial contractsnumber in the hundreds. Michael Smith is our safety and risk management officer. Michael holds a B.S.degree in Civil Engineering, and has completed the Asbestos Institute Program. These programs includetraining to help one recognize not only asbestos, but lead and other potential hazards that exist in theconstruction environment. The selection of proper PPE equipment, testing requirements, recognition ofenvironmental hazards and potential safety risks to personnel and the environment are part of these programs.Michael has also completed the 30 Hour Construction Safety Certification Program, the USACE ConstructionQuality Management for Contractors, and the National Safety Council CPR and First Aid Certifications.
We are currently bonded with an AM Best Rating of A(Excellent) and is licensed to do business in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. Our current bond linesupports bonded projects in excess of $7,500,000.00 single and $12,000,000.00 aggregate.
MS Square Construction assigns a project specific safety officer. Our safety plan is modeled after the USACE EM-385 1-1. Each safety plan is project specific and incorporates our technical approach for each JHA (Job Hazard Analysis).
