The MS Square Construction team is comprised of highly experienced construction and technical experts. Our Project Managers, Construction Managers, General management team and supporting personnel have deep experience in construction project execution for the Federal Government.
The Company was established in 1998. MS Square Construction does not have a vested interest in any other companies, nor does any other company have a vested interest in MS Square Construction.
Project Manager, Christopher Smith, is a seasoned construction professional with over 20 years in managing construction projects of a myriad size, complexity, and scope. Christopher has overseen projects ranging in magnitude from a few thousand dollars to contracts of 13.65 million. Christopher is a hands-on professional who prefers to be involved in each and every step of the project, working with all areas of the organization to ensure that the client remains a satisfied customer. Christopher earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management at Northern Arizona University in 2002. Christopher has managed several environmentally sensitive federal construction projects.
Michael Smith has an extensive background in a multitude of construction projects completed throughout the world, over his 40-year construction career. Michael has been involved in the construction of dams, canals, and street widening projects as well as performing as project and quality control engineer for large scale projects such as the Palo Verde Nuclear Generation Station. Michael’s completed commercial contracts number in the hundreds. Michael Smith is our safety and risk management officer. Michael holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, and has completed the Asbestos Institute Program. These programs include training to help one recognize not only asbestos, but lead and other potential hazards that exist in the construction environment. The selection of proper PPE equipment, testing requirements, recognition of environmental hazards and potential safety risks to personnel and the environment are part of these programs. Michael has also completed the 30 Hour Construction Safety Certification Program, the USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors, and the National Safety Council CPR and First Aid Certifications.
We are currently bonded with an AM Best Rating of A (Excellent) and is licensed to do business in all fifty states and the District of Columbia.
MS Square Construction’s, officers, and Key Employees have a wide array of experience particularly in Federal Government Projects.
MS Square has a comprehensive safety plan that is modeled after the EM 385 1-1 USACE Safety Plan. MS Square Construction has a full safety plan that includes PPE, Fall Protection, Electrical Lockout/Tagout Procedures, Hazardous Materials, Confined Space, Demolition, Invasive Species Identification and Management, Fire Protection, Noise Pollution, and many other specifics that relate to this particular project. Our safety plan also includes employee and subcontractor training procedures including meeting attendance forms, feedback forms, accident and hazard reporting forms, hazard analysis forms, OSHA forms, etc.
The USACE programs are adaptable to a wide array of projects both large and small in magnitude. We will complete a hazard analysis for each task and schedule work to address and eliminate those hazards.
